A Pimsleur Hebrew lesson is a roughly 30-minute, highly interactive aural and oral experience. You are prompted to speak Hebrew words, then phrases, then sentences, gradually adding to your Hebrew memory banks and growing your feeling for the language’s rhythms and patterns.
I’m not going to lie: Pimsleur Hebrew lessons are not easy. I often had to redo them two or more times. But I love this product.
Despite the depth of my affection for Pimsleur’s offerings across multiple languages, no matter what language I happen to be studying I always supplement my Pimsleur lessons with other, more visual resources and grammar books. I am a visual learner, for one thing, and I also don’t believe in relying on a single self-help language-learning resource. (Too frustrating! No one can explain everything perfectly, and in a teacherless state, you are vulnerable to frustration and confusion.)
Unfortunately, I did not find the Hebrew grammar book of my dreams, but I have listed some other materials in this directory that I used alongside Pimsleur and found, to varying degrees, helpful.
There are 90 Pimsleur Hebrew lessons in total. That could keep you busy for quite a while!
