This book is extremely user-friendly! It has careful, clear explanations that anticipate the possible confusion of a reader.
At the back of the book is a fabulous alphabet table displaying at a glance the basics you need to know about the Hebrew alphabet: book print form, final form, letter names in English, block form, and script form. This may not sound like a big deal, but across multiple languages I have found it remarkably difficult to get a good, complete alphabet table that covers all the things I need.
There is another version of this book with accompanying CDs, more expensive, but I went for the monomedia option in this case, so I can’t comment on that one.
